Tackle local issues and help your community to thrive
Use your skills and develop new ones
Speak up for people like you
Gain political experience
Do I qualify?
If you are:
British or a citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union
At least 18 years old
Registered to vote in the area or have lived, worked, or owned property there for at least 12 months before an election then you will probably be eligible for nomination. (Map on 'The Village' page of this website)
What does it involve?
Hadnall Parish Council meets once every two months on a Monday evening, with occasional extra meetings. You may be asked to contribute your skills to ongoing projects or to prepare information to bring to a meeting. Free training is available and existing councillors will be very supportive.
